PATENT IN MYANMAR
A Patent application can be submitted at the Myanmar Registration Office. One must submit the receipt of Declaration of Ownership of Patent, based on a foreign granted patent.
Documents Required
· Original copy of a duly signed Declaration of Ownership of registered Patent in another country. · A certified copy of the Granted Patent. · A certified copy of an English translation of the Granted Patent. If the documents submitted are not in English. · An original copy of the Power of Attorney. The Power of Attorney must be notarized and authenticated at the Burmese Embassy. An application for patent registration in Myanmar may take 5 to 8 weeks to be granted.
